FRAME
Structural analysis software
Modelling | Analysis
Frame Analysis performs frame and finite element analyses of 2D and 3D structures. It can perform linear and non-linear static analysis as well as buckling, modal, harmonic, and seismic analyses of 3D models.
Frame is easy to learn and simple to use. Build your model using a combination of beams, shells, and solid finite elements. Analysis results can be exported to various other PROKON modules for member or connection design. Results can be viewed and added to a calcsheet in graphic format or analysis reports.
What makes this module unique?
- Links with other software through DXF, DWG, CIS/2, and SNF (Strucad) files
- Models can be exported to and imported from Autodesk Revit using Prodesk
- Build a model using a combination of beams, shells, and solid finite elements.
- Static analysis: Linear, Second-order, Non-linear and Buckling
- Dynamic analysis: Modal, Seismic and Harmonic
- Wizard-based input vastly speeds up large or complicated model input.
- Text file interface enables the use of pre- and post-processors on the data files.
PLANE STRESS
Finite element analysis of plane stress or strain problems
Analysis
The Plane Stress module can be used to perform a finite element analysis of a membrane of any general geometry subjected to plane stress or strain.
Combine simple polygons to model complex geometries. A suitable mesh is generated automatically. Multiple load cases comprising point loads and UDLs can be applied to the outline of the model.
What makes this module unique?
- Analyse plane stress and strain problems.
- Simple input for geometry and loading.
- Automatic mesh generation
SINGLE SPAN BEAM
Analysis of 2D single span or cantilever beams
Analysis
The Single Span Beam module can be used to quickly analyse a beam. The beam can be a single span beam, or a single span taken from a continuous beam with the appropriate end conditions. The analysis results of steel beams can be post-processed with the steel member design module for combined stress.
What makes this module unique?
- Simple input
- Unlimited load cases
- Access to the large library in the PROKON section database
- Output includes deflection, shear force and bending moments.
- Export results to Combine for design.
ELASTIC SUPPORT BEAM
Analysis of 2D beams on elastic support.
Analysis
Elastic Support Beam was developed for rapid analysis of a beam or a slab on an elastic foundation. This module allows for the analysis of beams or slabs with varying cross-sections along their lengths and the elastic foundation can include variations or gaps in the elastic medium and rigid supports. An unlimited number of loads may be entered.
What makes this model unique?
- Evaluate beams supported by elastic foundations.
- Unlimited load cases
- Beams can have varying cross-sections.
- Allow the beam to uplift by using gap supports.
- Output includes deflection, shear forces and bending moments.
